How do I return an item?

Birchwood Boutique will gladly exchange or refund your online purchases if they are returned unworn, unwashed and undamaged within 30 days of original receipt (original delivery fees are non-refundable). Outside of this timeframe, we will replace or refund your purchase against manufacturer's defects ONLY. Please note that we cannot accept returns on gift cards or items damaged through normal wear and tear. We also cannot accept returns on final-sale items (items at a discounted price).

Birchwood Return Guidelines:

  • We accept returns for a refund that are postmarked within 30 calendar days from the original order receipt. Items that are postmarked longer than 30 days after your original order's receipt will only be replaced or eligible for a refund if manufacturer defects occur. 

  • Return postage is to be paid by the customer.

  • Original shipping charges are nonrefundable.

  • You must included your original packaging slip with your return.

  • Anything purchased at a sale or discounted price is considered a FINAL-SALE and will not be eligible for return.

  • Damages must be reported within 3 days of receiving merchandise.

  • Refunds are issued back to the original method of payment.

  • Returns must be received unwashed, unworn and in new condition. The item must be returned with original tags still attached.

  • Home decor items must be returned unopened in their original packaging. If the seal is open or tag/packaging is removed from home decor items they are not returnable. Damages must be reported within 3 days of receiving merchandise or cannot be returned.

  • Gift cards, beauty products, intimates, bras, camisoles, slips, tights, socks and sale/clearance items are final sale and may not be returned or exchanged. 

  • Items returned to us with makeup, deodorant, perfume or similar product stains are not eligible for return will be shipped back to you. Additional shipping costs may occur.

  • Refunds are processed within 3 business days of receiving your return. You will receive an email confirmation when your returned package has been received and the refund has been issued.

  • Colors may vary due to photography lenses, indoor/outdoor lighting, computer monitor resolutions.  Clothing patterns may also vary.  Handmade items from independent artists will be unique and also vary. These situations do not qualify as defects.


When will my refund be processed?
Credit for returned merchandise will be processed within 3 days of the date merchandise is received. Please remember to insure your package as Birchwood Boutique is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen merchandise. Credit will only be given on the merchandise returned. You are responsible for shipping charges to return merchandise. Original shipping charges are also nonrefundable. 

 

How do I know my information will be safe?
Ordering online is safe. Birchwood Boutique works hard to ensure your privacy. We do not sell your personal information to other companies. 

Late or missing refunds (if applicable):

Please note, it can take multiple days for your refund to officially be processed and posted back into your bank account. If you are having issues receiving your refund please contact your bank or credit card company to inquire about processing time before a refund is posted.
